  Ford Explorer 2021 (Moottori Magazine)     Ford Explorer 2021 (Car and Driver)  "The Ford Explorer recipe sounds delicious: a three-liter twin-turbocharged V6, four-wheel drive, space for seven and fuel consumption of just 3.1 liters per hundred. And all this with a wealth of equipment for only 84,323 euros in 2021.  363 horsepower makes this large car very light, and at full throttle, a pleasantly powerful growl fills the cabin.  Behind the V6 is a 102-horsepower electric motor and a ten-speed automatic. The total output of the package is no less than 457 hp, and the torque is 825 Nm in total. It propels the colossus to a hundred in six seconds. The feeling does not doubt the claim."

  Ford Mustang  This is my favorite Ford Mustang model.  In 1971, the Mustang had reached its peak in size. It was longer, wider, and heavier than ever before and never since. The euphoria of the horsepower war was turning into a hangover, with federal regulations and the rising insurance premiums for muscle cars in the United States. By 1972, muscle cars were finally a thing of the past, and an era in the history of the Mustang and the American automotive industry had come to an end.

  Ford GT Ford GT. Reminiscent of Ford's iconic GT40, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times in a row (1966–1969). "Ford GT Heritage Edition celebrates Le Mans victories in iconic Gulf colours (9.9.2018). The Gulf colours and the Ford GT hardly need any further introduction to those familiar with motorsport. Apparently Ford had realised that the 50th anniversary of both the 1968 and 1969 Le Mans victories was approaching. The victories achieved with the iconic GT40 threw Ferrari into turmoil, as if in revenge for Ford and Enzo Ferrari's failed business plans. In 2018, the wins will be celebrated with a special edition of the current Ford GT, as the Heritage Edition will be decked out in the ever-so-trendy Gulf colors. The oil company’s blue and orange will be seen in production for two years, with the 2019 cars sporting the race number 9 and the 2020 cars sporting the No. 6 graphics."     Lincoln Continental Mark III Ford Motor Company Cannon (TV series)  This is roughly the car that Detective Cannon drove in the TV series Cannon (1971 - 1976).  The car is big. The distance from the driver to the front is about three meters. And the engine is a 7.5 l V8.  "Henry M. Leland, who was one of the founders of Cadillac, founded the Lincoln Motor Company in 1917 and began manufacturing aircraft engines. After the end of World War I, the company changed its production line and began manufacturing luxury cars. However, the company ran into financial difficulties and in 1922 the Ford Motor Company bought it. After the deal, Lincoln quickly rose to become the most popular luxury car brand in the United States, along with Cadillac, and has maintained its position to this day."  I followed the TV series quite closely with a friend who was a few years older than me. I remember how much I liked the series, presumably because of the really exotic America...

    Ford Probe  I test drove a used Ford Probe like this in 2012 in Seinäjoki. As I recall, it had a 2,0 I4 engine. I don't remember the model year anymore...  I had just made purchases so I hadn't money to buy car.  But there was nothing wrong with the car. And it had just enough American flair :)

    Ford Crown Victoria  One of my favorite cars. The last traditional American Car (four-door sedan, produced in North America, full-length frame, rear-wheel drive, and a standard 4.6 V8 engine).  Maybe one day... :)
