Ford Mondeo (Fifth Generation)

Kuva
Ford Mondeo (fifth generation)  If God will, this will be my next car :)  Auto on tilava, riittävän tehokas ja kaunis. Ja onhan se Ford...  :D  The Ford Mondeo is an upper-middle-class car model manufactured by Ford since 1993, introduced in Europe as the successor to the Ford Sierra. In Asia and Oceania, the model replaced the Ford Telstar. The name Mondeo comes from the Latin word mundus, which means world.

Ford Explorer 2021

Kuva
Ford Explorer 2021 (Moottori Magazine)     Ford Explorer 2021 (Car and Driver)  "The Ford Explorer recipe sounds delicious: a three-liter twin-turbocharged V6, four-wheel drive, space for seven and fuel consumption of just 3.1 liters per hundred. And all this with a wealth of equipment for only 84,323 euros in 2021.  363 horsepower makes this large car very light, and at full throttle, a pleasantly powerful growl fills the cabin.  Behind the V6 is a 102-horsepower electric motor and a ten-speed automatic. The total output of the package is no less than 457 hp, and the torque is 825 Nm in total. It propels the colossus to a hundred in six seconds. The feeling does not doubt the claim."

Ford Gran Torino 1972

Gran Torino (Movie)   Ford Torino  Gran Torino is a 2008 thriller and drama film directed by Clint Eastwood. He stars in it.  Eastwood announced around the time of the film's premiere that it would be his last film as an actor, but he returned to the big screen four years later in Back in the Game.  Anyway, the car is amazing, isn't it? :)

New Holland T9

Kuva
New Holland  When Sperry Corporation merged with Burroughs Corporation in 1986 to form Unisys Corporation, New Holland was sold to Ford . The agricultural machinery company was renamed Ford New Holland, but the tractor brand remained Ford. The New Holland tractor brand was born in the early 1990s, when the Fiat Group bought Ford's agricultural machinery business. In 1990, Ford decided to sell its ownership of its Ford New Holland agricultural and construction unit and in 1991 reached an agreement with the Fiat Group to sell Ford New Holland to Fiat Geotech. Both brands had long traditions in tractor manufacturing. Fiat Trattori manufactured its first model 702 in 1919. Fiat Trattori S.p.A. ("Fiat Trattori") changed its name to FiatAgri in 1984. Henry Ford began manufacturing Fordson tractors in 1917. Contrary to popular belief, the tractor brand name was not Fordson because the Minneapolis company was already selling a tractor called Ford, but because Henry and his so...

Ford Mustang 1971

Kuva
Ford Mustang  This is my favorite Ford Mustang model.  In 1971, the Mustang had reached its peak in size. It was longer, wider, and heavier than ever before and never since. The euphoria of the horsepower war was turning into a hangover, with federal regulations and the rising insurance premiums for muscle cars in the United States. By 1972, muscle cars were finally a thing of the past, and an era in the history of the Mustang and the American automotive industry had come to an end.

Ford Taunus TC2 1,6

Ford Taunus TC2  My stepfather's brother had a Ford Taunus like this sometime in the 80s. Even though I was a minor, I still drove it. I thought the car was really cool, partly because of the bright yellow color :)

Ford County

Kuva
County tractors   Here is one of my childhood/youth dreams: Ford County!  The independent County company's Ford-based models were sold in several countries through the Ford organization. In most County products, all wheels were the same size and each front wheel had a separate propeller shaft. In addition, County built, among other things, high-clearance models and Four models with smaller front wheels before Ford had its own four-wheel drive versions. In addition to Fords, County supplied four-wheel drive technology to the IH and Leyland factories.  Isn't it a great machine? :)

Ford jacket

Ford  I wanted a Ford summer jacket, so I made it myself. I bought a white faux leather jacket at a flea market. Then the seamstress sewed a fabric Ford logo on it. Stylish, although I do say it myself :)

Ford cap

Kuva
Built Ford Tough  I went to the Ford store for a coffee because the coffee is pretty cheap there. However, the visit ended up being more expensive than expected; I just couldn't resist buying a new Ford cap.  Well, it was a good purchase. I bought it for work. The Built Ford Tough cap is just right for that :)  I have my little brother's (R.I.P.) Scania cap but I lost it once on a work trip. Luckily, some kind person had taken it to a store and I got it back <3 But I don't dare take it anywhere from my house anymore.  I still have to buy two more caps: The black one with the black embroidered Ford logo. And the Ford blue one that I place on the rear window of my car on the parcel shelf.

Ford GT

Ford GT Ford GT. Reminiscent of Ford's iconic GT40, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times in a row (1966–1969). "Ford GT Heritage Edition celebrates Le Mans victories in iconic Gulf colours (9.9.2018). The Gulf colours and the Ford GT hardly need any further introduction to those familiar with motorsport. Apparently Ford had realised that the 50th anniversary of both the 1968 and 1969 Le Mans victories was approaching. The victories achieved with the iconic GT40 threw Ferrari into turmoil, as if in revenge for Ford and Enzo Ferrari's failed business plans. In 2018, the wins will be celebrated with a special edition of the current Ford GT, as the Heritage Edition will be decked out in the ever-so-trendy Gulf colors. The oil company’s blue and orange will be seen in production for two years, with the 2019 cars sporting the race number 9 and the 2020 cars sporting the No. 6 graphics." Ford Fiesta IV 1,25

Kuva
Ford FiestaI V  My fourth Ford. Ford Fiesta IV.  I liked this car a lot even though it was old and small. It has definitely been the cheapest to maintain of all the cars I have owned. Once a year I had it serviced for about €300 for the inspection. Apart from that, all I had to do was buy gas :)  I once drove about 120 km on the motorway as fast as the car could go (according to the speedometer about 170 km/h).  I ended up driving it upside down into a ditch. I wasn't going too fast but it was very slippery and when the car skidded onto the bank it rolled over surprisingly easily :o  Too bad. I would probably still have it. I <3 it :)

Ford 3000

Kuva
Ford 3000  A friend of mine had a Ford 3000 tractor like this. He used it for agricultural work. In 2012, I needed a tractor myself. My intention was to get an old and "small" tractor. I researched the matter and ended up with Ford and Massey Ferguson.  However, it turned out that I couldn't find a suitable Ford, so I bought a Massey Ferguson 165 S, with a larger Palmu cab. I would have liked a Ford, but there was nothing wrong with the Massey Ferguson either.  "The Ford 3000 was introduced in the spring of 1968 as part of Ford's new tractor range. It was a significant upgrade to the Dexta model of the time, offering better performance and a more modern design. The tractor was designed specifically for the needs of medium-sized farms, and its 45 horsepower engine offered a balance of power between power and fuel economy. The hydraulic system was advanced for its time, offering a flow of 18.1 liters per minute and a pressure of 176 bar. The tractor's 8+2 t...

Lincoln Continental Mark III 7,5

Kuva
Lincoln Continental Mark III Ford Motor Company Cannon (TV series)  This is roughly the car that Detective Cannon drove in the TV series Cannon (1971 - 1976).  The car is big. The distance from the driver to the front is about three meters. And the engine is a 7.5 l V8.  "Henry M. Leland, who was one of the founders of Cadillac, founded the Lincoln Motor Company in 1917 and began manufacturing aircraft engines. After the end of World War I, the company changed its production line and began manufacturing luxury cars. However, the company ran into financial difficulties and in 1922 the Ford Motor Company bought it. After the deal, Lincoln quickly rose to become the most popular luxury car brand in the United States, along with Cadillac, and has maintained its position to this day."  I followed the TV series quite closely with a friend who was a few years older than me. I remember how much I liked the series, presumably because of the really exotic America...

Ford Taunus TC2 2.0

Kuva
Ford Taunus TC2 Another uncle's car. Red Ford Taunus TC2 2.0. Model year is 1979. I drove this car a bit. It was pretty similar to the Granada: soft and pleasant to drive but the driving characteristics were not enough for racing :D But it's beautiful in its own way, isn't it? I remember many good trips we took by car :)

New Books 4

My Life and Work - Henry Ford Henry Ford  "Henry Ford seems to have been ahead of his time as a business leader with his ideas. He started small, trained as a mechanic against his father's wishes, and set about developing horseless carriages, eventually leading to the automobile and great success. Today, long after Ford's death, the company he left behind is one of the world's leading car manufacturers."  "The book not only focuses on Ford's technological achievements, but also offers insights into his business philosophy and leadership style. Ford shares his thoughts on promoting mass production, using assembly line labor, and offering higher wages to his workers. He advocates for efficient organization and steady growth that benefits both the company and its employees."  The book is currently on the rear window of my Ford on the parcel shelf :)

Ford Taunus TC 2,0 Coupe

Kuva
Ford Taunus TC  My uncle's second Ford. I think it was a 1974 model... He owned it until 1987. I even got to drive it once :)  The car looked great by the standards of the time. The orange color and black roof made it look a bit special. Its driving characteristics were not particularly good, but it was spacious and the passenger comfort was good.
