Divine Mercy Sunday
Last Sunday was Divine Mercy Sunday. Beautiful... ♥♥♥
Divine Mercy Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of Easter (i.e. the 1st Sunday after Easter) in the Catholic Church, on the last day of the Easter Octave, or Easter Week.
It dates back to the apparitions of Saint Faustina Kowalska, which she recorded in her diary. According to Faustina's visions, great promises are requested for Divine Mercy Sunday: Whoever on that day comes to the fountain of life will receive forgiveness of sins and their punishments... On that day, the depths of my mercy will be open, I will pour out a whole torrent of grace upon the souls who approach the fountain of my mercy; ... let no soul fear to approach me, even if its sins are as red as blood.
